July 30, 2019 – Legendary guitarist Tom Morello has announced he is returning to the road this fall, backed by an unrivaled rhythm section, he’ll be playing full songs off his 2018 collaborative release, The Atlas Underground – available everywhere here – with an immersive live production designed by creative director Sean Evans.
Morello is “thrilled to be back on tour bringing The Atlas Underground Fall Offensive to a city near you.” He describes the show as “combining the visual wizardry of Roger Waters’ Artistic Director with [his] entire career’s worth of STFU riffs” making him “ready to level North America one venue at a time. The show will be an intense sonic and visual ‘less talk, more rock’ experience that’s somewhere between a crazy mosh pit, an illegal rave, a subversive art installation, and a prison riot.”
The fall tour follows the success of the tour’s first leg this past spring, which included sold out headline shows and stops at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Welcome to Rockville, and Epicenter Festival, as well as a UK run supporting MUSE. The newly announced tour include sets at Hulaween in Live Oak, FL and HARD Red Rocks at the legendary Colorado venue. See below for full tour itinerary.
The Atlas Underground marked Morello’s most ambitious artistic effort of his storied career, which includes being co-founder of Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave and Prophets of Rage. The album left critics raving with Rolling Stone praising, “A rap-rock/EDM throwdown… and the results are explosive,” LA Weekly lauds, “a cohesive piece of work that sounds fresh and new."
